The project consortium comprises 6 partners from the UK, Finland, Bulgaria, Italy, Slovenia and Cyprus. The project is coordinated by aspire-igen, the largest training and careers organisation in the Yorkshire and the Humber region of the UK.

The aspire-igen group is a not-for-profit social enterprise with over 25 years’ experience in providing career guidance, job support and training services to vulnerable groups. Involved in more than 75 international projects since 1992, the research and development team in Bradford, UK, deliver cutting-edge resources, training and tools that meet the demands of modern day career guidance and employability. Aspire-igen is recognised as a centre of excellence by the European Commission, supporting the development of guidance policy at EU level as the UK Euroguidance centre.

Learnmera

Learnmera Oy is a private language education and translation provider in the greater Helsinki area which provides business language lessons, translations and proofreading services. Courses are offered in the major Nordic and European languages, as well as beginners’ courses in English, Finnish, Swedish, French, German and Russian. Learnmera Oy has considerable experience in educational resource creation, website creation and app content building, as well as online vocational courses. Their free online language learning and cultural material has had hundreds of thousands of downloads. Learnmera Oy have been active within different European projects since 2008. In addition to the above-mentioned services, Learnmera Oy also provides IT services specially directed towards corporate clients and institutions that want to improve their customer interfaces and social media presence.

LUNG

LUNG (People's University of Nova Gorica) is a modern educational centre with almost 60 years of experience in adult education. At the moment there are 13 employees and about 80 teachers on contract working for LUNG. About 5000 people take part in education and counselling at LUNG each year. LUNG's wide spectrum of provision is divided into: education (elementary school for adults, vocational and high school programmes), languages (general language courses, individual courses, custom courses), self-improvement (computer and accounting courses, national vocational qualifications), leisure programmes and learning-support projects - most of them for different vulnerable groups (signing up to various local, national and international project open calls). LUNG houses Northern Primorska Multigenerational Centre – a Lifelong Learning Centre for different generations and people from all walks of life, Consulting Centre for Adults in Education - ISIO, Centre for information and vocational counselling, Lifelong learning points and the Centre for self-study. They have created an open learning environment, increased access to learning, education, and advice about the various possibilities and opportunities in education. They have established strong connections with various educational institutions in the area and on a national level. Activities for improving quality are a part of our daily pursuits, which is confirmed by the national POKI – Offering Quality Education to Adults licence.

BFE

The Business Foundation for Education (BFE) is a Bulgarian non-government organisation, established in 2005 to act in the public interest. The Foundation is a recognised leader in the field of lifelong learning and career guidance in Bulgaria, with numerous initiatives which have had a huge impact on citizens’ employability and competitiveness. Since 2005, BFE has:

  • represented the Global Career Development Facilitator programme, under which over 1000 career counsellors have been trained and certified

  • established network of 37 university career centres

  • helped launch regional career development centres for pupils and employed people

  • piloted school Career Clubs, which were multiplied nationally by the Ministry of Education as a school career guidance model

  • took part in the development of the National interactive school career guidance curriculum

  • developed internship methodology which was adopted in the public administration, higher education and private companies

  • implemented national career guidance and employability surveys among young people and students

  • coordinated and took part in more than 40 European and national projects directed to personal and career development, entrepreneurship, social inclusion and innovative training methods

CSI

Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) is a Research and Development organisation, which focuses on fostering social innovation that can bring about a positive change to local, national, regional and global entities. These entities include but are not limited to governments, local administrative agencies, not-for-profit agencies, commercial entities and educational institutions. The CSI team is composed of open-minded, fully equipped researchers, entrepreneurs, project managers, trainers and Information Technology Developers. CSI encompasses the capability and capacity to identify social needs, design and implement adjusted initiatives and provide for sustainable growth. The CSI team's areas of expertise are in the fields of traditional education and e-learning, entrepreneurship, start-ups, innovation, creativity, negotiations, IP advisory services, social responsibility, business advisory solutions, data analytics, information technologies, project management, project evaluation services, product validation, training and computer gaming. CSI draws know-how and skills from its wide global network which includes academic institutions, IT companies, public services, international organisations, start-ups and public services.

CIAPE

CIAPE (Italian Centre for Permanent Learning) is a non profit private
organisation. It exists as an Association of Learners to promote the
development of a learning society through the provision of a quality and
comprehensive system of adult learning and education which is accessible to and inclusive of all. CIAPE implements research and training activities aimed at the development and validation of transversal skills as well as the new skills required by the labour market.


CIAPE is an innovative project, born with the aim to lead to success in a
constantly changing community. Only lifelong learning can guarantee individual competitiveness in a global labour market. However, training offered must be reshaped and focused on the new exigencies of adult learners, who are often busy and with very specific goals.


CIAPE proposes innovative and effective solutions suited to the new socio-
economic situation. Their key-words are self-fulfillment, occupability, professional adaptability, active citizenship and social inclusion.
